Overview
MoneySCOT (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the moneyscot.co.uk website. This page explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. MoneySCOT is an independent Scottish-focused personal finance publisher, privately owned and run from Scotland.
Data controller
For the purposes of UK GDPR, MoneySCOT is the data controller for any personal data processed in connection with this website. The main source of data we process is anonymised analytics data collected by Google Analytics 4 (see below). Our calculators do not collect or process personal data.
Calculator data
All calculator computations run entirely in your browser. We do not send, store, or process any of the financial figures you enter into our calculators. Your data stays on your device.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors use our site. GA4 collects anonymised data such as pages visited, time on site, device type, and approximate location (country level). We do not use this data to identify individual users.
Cookies
We use two types of cookies: essential cookies required for the site to function (for example, remembering your preferences), and analytics cookies set by Google Analytics. You can disable analytics cookies at any time through your browser settings without affecting the functionality of our calculators. Our calculators work entirely client-side and do not require cookies to operate.

Our site is hosted on Vercel. We may use third-party services for analytics (Google Analytics), advertising (display ad networks), and affiliate tracking. Each of these services has its own privacy policy that governs their use of your data.
Your rights
